FAQ's

Are air ducts required to be cleaned by law?

For professional air ventilation installations, air ducts are required to be cleaned when they are dirty. This is established in the Codex on Well-being at Work (Book III, Article 38), which obliges employers to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

The European standard EN 15780 provides criteria for when an air duct is considered dirty, based on the amount of dirt (expressed in g/m²). Inspections must take place regularly and cleaning is mandatory as soon as this standard is exceeded.

When is air duct cleaning necessary?

An air duct must be cleaned when the maximum permitted amount of dirt is exceeded.

This is established in the European standard EN 15780, which distinguishes three cleanliness levels. Each level has its own limit for contamination, expressed in grams per square metre (g/m²). As soon as that threshold is exceeded, maintenance is necessary.

Can air duct cleaning take place without disrupting care processes?

Yes, Hamster Cleaning specialises in discreet working. We understand that a hospital operates 24/7.

Our teams work with low-noise equipment and can, if necessary, work outside peak hours or in phases, so that patients and medical staff experience no inconvenience from the work being carried out.
